The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) has announced the recipients of the 2023 Art+Technology grants. The grant includes a monetary award and support for the projects, which use new technologies to foster innovation. Patty Chang and David Kelley will explore legal and ecological considerations of deep-sea mining.

Tristan Duke's project, Cold Cutting Edge, resides at the intersection of high-tech imaging, glaciology, and neutrino astronomy.

Haleigh Nickerson will use community engagement and youth education to create a series of reimagined free-roaming rover works inspired by the Sojourner Mars rover. Gala Porras-Kim will improve the institutional cataloging system by developing multifaceted registration, conservation, and display methods that decenter existing taxologies.
